Porsche is known for its special editions, and the all-electric Taycan is getting the Black Edition treatment. These models boast blacked-out styling, a larger battery, and enhanced standard features.
Following the tradition of exclusive 911 variants, Porsche introduces stealthy new Black Edition Taycan models for the lower-tier options: the base Taycan, Taycan 4, and Taycan 4S.
2025 Porsche Taycan Black Edition Review: Exterior Styling
As the name implies, the Black Edition emphasizes a blacked-out aesthetic, inside and out. These Taycans feature the SportDesign exterior package in gloss black (a significant upgrade on standard models), including a sportier front fascia, extended side skirts, and rear diffuser.
The dark theme continues with black window trim, rear badging, brushed aluminum doorsill guards, and interior trim. Black side mirrors are exclusive to this edition, alongside the Special Black Edition package featuring “Black Edition” lettering, illuminated sill guards, and a unique key. Alternative exterior colors like Volcano Grey Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, and Ice Grey Metallic are available at no extra cost.
The Black Edition includes the Performance Battery Plus option, increasing battery capacity to 97 kWh and EPA-estimated range to 318 miles (base), 294 miles (Taycan 4), and 295 miles (Taycan 4S). This upgrade also enhances performance, boosting output to 429 hp (base and 4) and 509 hp (4S).
