Volvo to Launch Electric Sedan and Wagon in US by 2028
Volvo plans to reintroduce sedans and wagons to the US market with two electric models launching in 2028. Both vehicles will be built on the SPA3 platform shared with the EX60 crossover, offering a low floor for traditional sedan and wagon proportions. Pricing is expected to start in the low $50,000s, with combined annual sales targets around 10,000 units. The cars will be imported from Europe rather than assembled domestically. This move follows federal clearance allowing Volvo to import connected vehicles into the United States despite its Chinese ownership ties.
