1964 Imperial Crown Restoration
A 1964 Imperial Crown four-door hardtop sat untouched for ten years in a Greenwich, Connecticut garage following the passing of its original owner. Professional detailer Larry Kosilla of AMMO NYC rescued the massive green luxury sedan, decontaminated the rodent-infested interior, polished the oxidized chrome, and revived the dormant 413-cubic-inch Wedge V8 big-block, which fired immediately and revealed a hidden custom vintage turbocharger. The restoration was completed with period-correct cream wax, steam extraction on the carpets, and a fresh battery installation. Peter’s widow ultimately sold the rare turbocharged classic to Ira, her late husband’s close lifelong friend, keeping the vehicle within the immediate family circle.
