Cadillac introduces the 2026 Escalade IQL, an extended version of its flagship electric SUV, offering enhanced space and comfort without compromising its impressive range.
Unveiling the 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL
The introduction of the Escalade IQL addresses the demand for a larger electric SUV, mirroring the existing long-wheelbase option available in the gas-powered Escalade lineup. The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL provides a more spacious alternative within the full-size luxury electric SUV segment.
Visually, the Escalade IQL closely resembles its sibling, with a subtle increase of 4.2 inches in overall length. Distinctive rear-end styling sets the IQL apart, featuring a uniquely designed C-pillar and a full window between the rear pillars to improve visibility.
Enhanced Interior Space and Comfort
The extended body of the IQL translates to increased interior space, particularly benefiting third-row passengers with an additional 4.4 inches of legroom, along with improvements in headroom and shoulder room. Second-row occupants also enjoy marginally more space. The IQL comfortably seats up to seven passengers and includes power-folding third-row seats for a completely flat cargo floor.
Cargo capacity sees an improvement as well, offering 75 cubic feet with the third row stowed, a six-cube increase over the standard Escalade IQ. The front trunk (frunk) provides an additional 12 cubic feet of storage.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Luxurious Amenities
The cabin design mirrors the Escalade IQ, featuring a panoramic 55-inch display across the dashboard. A 21-speaker AKG sound system comes standard, with optional upgrades to 38 or even 42 speakers via the Executive Second Row package. This premium package includes 12.6-inch screens for rear passengers, wireless phone charging, and stowable tray tables. The 14-way power-adjustable rear seats boast heating, ventilation, massage functions, and integrated headrest speakers.
Performance and Range of the Escalade IQL
The powertrain remains consistent with the Escalade IQ, delivering 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque from its dual electric motors. This enables the IQL to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a swift 4.7 seconds. Utilizing the same 205.0-kWh battery, Cadillac estimates a range of 460 miles, and DC fast-charging can add 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
Towing Capacity, Features, and Availability
The IQL has a towing capacity of 7500 pounds. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance system is standard across all trims. The IQL also supports bi-directional charging, allowing it to supply power back to a home when paired with the GM Energy V2H Bundle.
Production of the Escalade IQL is scheduled to begin mid-year, with four trims available: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. The starting price is $132,695. The Escalade IQL will be assembled at the Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly, also known as Factory Zero.
