BMW M2 Gears Up for Track Domination with New Performance Package
Remember the thrill when the current bmw M2 hit the scene? Armed with a manual transmission and a potent 453 horsepower, it rocketed to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, delivering pure driving joy. BMW upped the ante by adding 20 horsepower to the standard 2025 model. Now, get ready for the 2026 CS version and an even hotter track-focused performance package, teased by BMW’s M division.
BMW M Performance Parts is cooking up a street-legal track-day package designed to amplify the M2’s aggressive nature. The promise? M2s equipped with this package will be “pushing BMW M Performance Parts to the limit.”
Cloaked in camouflage, the test vehicle cleverly conceals most of the body modifications. However, the massive rear wing boldly protruding from the trunk lid is hard to miss.
Beyond the obvious aero upgrade, expect chassis refinements, high-performance carbon brakes for superior stopping power, and potentially a boost in horsepower from the M2’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six.
Anticipated Release and Availability
Specific details about the package are still under wraps. It remains unclear whether customers will need to order the package when configuring their M2 or if dealerships can install it on existing vehicles. Either way, the wait shouldn’t be too long, as BMW plans to launch the new performance package in 2026.
